You don’t see this every day. This 924 GTR was displayed by Steve Goldin of Miami Florida at the 2012 Amelia Island Concours. The description read:
The Porsche factory built 17 of the 924 GTR racecars for endurance racing in 1981 and 1982. The Brumos Porsche BF Goodrich 924 GTR was driven by Jim Busby and Doc Bundy in the 1982 24 Hour of Le Mans and finished 1st in their class. This is the only car to win its class in the prestigious Le Mans race on street shaved radial tires. This car was recently purchased in El Salvador from racer Alfredo Mena and has recently undergone a complete restoration by Willison Werkstatt. It is the most successful and prestigious 924 GTR manufactured by the Porsche factory.

This year’s Amelia Concours was wonderful. I have a few Porsche photos from the event on my blog as well: http://deremerstudios.wordpress.com/category/automotive-photography/ Thanks for sharing – I’ve been enjoying your blog!
