2007 Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona

Here are a few images from the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona 2007.   Getting to go through the pits before and during the race was spectacular.  Seeing all of the preparation getting the cars ready to race.  There were last minute engine changes before the deadline.  And then watching all of the work that goes on in the pits to keep the cars in competition.  Porsche technical advisers going from pit to pit seeing if the Porsche competitors needed any help.  They seemed to be everywhere.

The GT class winners, #22 Alegra Motorsports GT3 Cup car, drivers  Jean-Francois Dumoulin, owner/driver Carlos de Quesa, Scooter Gabel and Marc Basseng were in the tire barriers early in the race but managed to battle back for the win.  I find the GT class the most exciting and my favorite.  Did not get to go last year because of work.  I will definitely make next years race.
