The PCA Porsche Paddock at the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona

The Porsche Club of America provides the members with a secure parking area which has a great view of the track.  They also have a hospitality tent which provides free lunch, snacks and cold drinks as well a television, so members and guests can catch up with the on-track action while taking a break from the sun.  I met club President Kurt Gibson and Treasurer Ruben Ledesma, who were working the tent and making members feel welcome.

The parking area is an event and a show in itself.  PCA members from many different areas, get to visit with old friends, and meet some new ones also.  It’s a great time to catch up with what’s going on in other regions.  Everyone really enjoys talking about their cars, projects and track events, all the while rooting for a Porsche win at the Rolex.  And, by the way, did I mention on earlier posts that PORSCHE WON?!

  1. These guys were a lifesaver to me on Saturday. At some point I was walking by and was incredibly hot and tired. They welcomed me with open arms, provided some water, shade and some great memories. Lots of great cars in the Paddock to boot.
