1964 Porsche 356C Carrera 2 Cabriolet

Bud and Thelma Lyon of Kensington, New Hampshire displayed this gorgeous 356 Carrera 2 Cab in the 4 Cam Porsche Class at the 2009 Amelia Island Concours.

This car is chassis #159590 and was delivered on November 4, 1963. The 356C Carrera 2′s used the ATE disc brake version exclusively, which was far superior to anything that Porsche had designed to date. Over 310 of the Carrera 2′s were 356B models and 126 were 356C models fitted with ATE disc brakes, 28 of which were cabriolets built between 1964 and 1965. The Carrera 2 was touted as Porsche’s fastest model, capable of 130 mph and 0-60 mph sprints in 9.2 seconds.
