BGB Cayman finishes 12th in Continental Tire Fresh From Florida 200

The BGB Racing number 23 Cayman driven by Keith Carroll and Duncan Ende finishes 12th in Continental Tire Fresh From Florida 200. Not a bad result for their first outing considering the cars were only finished days before official testing began. As Team Manager John Tecce said, “It was a short off-season trying to get two brand new cars built in 2 months and we made it, just barely”. Their number 38 car driven by Steve Jenkins and Craig Stanton finished 60th completing 49 laps.

I was talking to Roger Burdett last night and he said Daytona is more suited for high horsepower cars and felt the BGB Cayman’s should fare better on the rest of the Continental Tire Challenge Series. I am sure they have come away from this race with a lot of valuable information and I look forward to watching them progress as the season continues.

Unfortunately I was not able to make it to Daytona this weekend and will be here closing out the month. At least I’m surrounded by the cars we all LOVE!

  1. Fantastic Results!!! You guys are the ‘new flag bearers’ for all Cayman lovers. I’ll be at VIR with my ’06 S “Croxster” to see you dust a bunch of those V8’s. Kudos to TPC as well. Need more grassroots supporters? Just email. The appearance of a viable Cayman effort has been long overdue. It will boost sales, for sure.

  2. The Cayman has a very bright future in sports car racing. Great to see this team fielding 2 cars – what a dream.

    Thanks for sharing!
