Don and Diane Meluzio of York, Pennsilvania displayed this 1957 Speedster at this years Amelia Island Concour. The description read:

This Porsche Speedster #83536 was recently reunited with its original engine. For reasons unknown, the engine was swapped in the 1960’s. It ended up powering a VW Bus, owned by a mechanic who operated a VW and Porsche repair shop in California. Upon his death, the mechanic’s family liquidated all of his Porsche and VW parts. Thanks to modern technology and the internet, a person who had bought many of the 356 parts was able to locate Don and Diane Meluzio.

According to the owners, this is one of those stories you hear about and figure it could never happen to you!

Unfortunately I was unable to get a pictures of that once wayward engine.
