1977 Porsche 935

This awesome 935 was displayed by Goldin Brothers Racing at the 2011 Amelia Island Concours.

The Porsche 935 was perhaps the most powerful Porsche ever raced and was sold to customers in both Europe and the United States. With its massive rear wing, flared fender treatment and incredibly wide rubber all the way around, the car came first in a single turbocharged engine version and later in a twin-turbo configuration. They immediately dominated the Group Five category in the European race scene and then became the weapon of choice for many IMSA racers in the U.S. The final version equipped with twin-turbo’s produced nearly 750 horsepower at full boost. Not since the dominating 917 had drivers experienced a race car with such diabolical handling and it took a great deal of skill and courage to handle these cars on the track.
