1974 Porsche 914 Best of Class Winner at the Hilton Head Concours

Congratulations to George Hussey of Marietta Georgia for taking the Best of Class in the 4 cylinder Porsche Class at the 2008 Hilton Head Concours with his beautiful 1974 Can Am Edition 914. 

There was some very stiff competition in the class.  For eye catchers and rarity, there was a Fjord Green 356 Speedster along with a couple of Red 356’s and a Continental Coupe.  The 914 still stood out.  But the quality of restoration is what gave George the win.  That says a lot for his car as the Fjord Green Speedster is only 300 miles fresh from a 2.5 year restoration.

According to the bio on the car and overhearing conversations, the car was a rust free, bare and damaged shell when found and all parts had to be sourced.  Well worth the effort for such a rare car.
